Our committees are: Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality. We also have a committee dedicated to the July 3 Fireworks.
The Promotions Committee presents a positive image of the historic commercial district and encourages consumers and investors to live, work, shop, play, and invest in the Main Street district. By marketing the district's unique characteristics to residents, investors, business owners, and visitors, an effective promotional strategy forges a positive image through advertising, retail promotional activity, special events, and marketing campaigns carried out by local volunteers. These activities improve confidence in the district and encourage commercial activity and investment in the area.
Serving on this committee are Susan Oakes, Chair; Leslie McWilliams, and Colleen Zester. The Promotions Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 11:00 a.m. For more information, or to get involved please email Susan Oakes
The Design Committee organizes Downtown Cleanups and/or Beautification Projects at least once a quarter. This group is also tasked with installing downtown holiday lights, the historical plaque program, and developing a green space on Commerce Street.
Serving on the Design Committee are: Jim Bachrach, Chair; Ed Springer; Bob Oakes; Susan Oakes
