Apalachicola Oyster Cook-Off

The 14th Annual Oyster Cook-Off will be held on January 13, 2024, and will once again benefit the Apalachicola Volunteer Fire Department! The event is held every year on the Saturday before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in downtown Historic Apalachicola at Riverfront Park. All proceeds go directly towards paying for the fire truck they were able to purchase a few years ago due to this exclusive fundraising event!
The event features a silent auction, oysters galore, local beer, live music, kids’ activities, dancing performances, and a 5K run!
Visit the silent auction throughout the day on Saturday. There will be a buy-it-now option, so get in early to snag those awesome items. We will upload the items when received. If you would like to donate a work of art or service to the auction, please contact the Cook-off committee via the website.
Enter your best recipe and be a contestant in the oyster cook-off or just come out and enjoy a day of wonderful food, refreshments, and music.
🐾 Well-mannered pets are welcomed on a leash.
Donations and volunteers are welcome to help make this wonderful event a success.

Half-Shell Hustle 5K Run Start Time: 8 AM
Cook-off 12-5 pm (no gate entrance fee) Art Auction continues, and food and refreshments available for purchase throughout the day
Dance Class Performance 1 pm (you don’t want to miss the Fireman dance!)
Live Band starts 2 pm
Judging begins 2 pm
Winners announced 3 pm
