Car Show Committee Gathering

The 2nd Annual Autos & Oysters Car Show & Sock Hop is scheduled for Saturday, October 29. The event is hosted by Apalachicola Main Street. If you’re interested in getting involved, meet the Car Show Committee on Wednesday, August 17 from 5:30-7 pm at Tamara’s Tapas bar on Market Street.
The Autos and Oysters Car Show showcases antique and classic cars owned by local collectors and also attracts enthusiasts and car clubs from throughout the region. The show will be followed by a sock hop on the city docks in the evening, featuring local refreshments, music, oysters, and 50’s-60’s music. The event is one of Apalachicola Main Street’s initiatives to draw people downtown to stimulate the local economy. The Sock Hop will be held at Riverfront Park, and the Car Show will be held on Water Street. Both events are free and open to the public.
