How often have you heard or seen the term “historic” together with Apalachicola? Fairly often, no doubt. Maintaining the historic character of Apalachicola is, in fact, one of our primary goals here at Main Street. The Chestnut Grove Cemetery dates to the early 1830s, many buildings are over 100 years old, and more than a few are on the National Historic Register. If you are interested in history or especially interested in restoring a historical building, you may need help with architectural consulting, tax credits, grants, or red tape in general.
